1. Respect and Community Conduct

• Treat all members with respect, both in and out of character. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of bullying is not tolerated outside of IC.

• Use inclusive and respectful language and be open to discussing differences constructively.

• Always separate in-character actions from out-of-character feelings. Avoid taking in-character conflicts personally.

2. Age Requirement

• All players must be 18 years or older. Whiskey Rock may involve mature themes, and we want to maintain a safe environment for adults.  This includes your character age as well.

3. Character Realism and Consent

• Characters should be grounded in realism. No supernatural abilities, extreme skills, or excessive physical prowess beyond realistic standards are allowed.

• Always obtain player consent before initiating intense roleplay (e.g., violence, intimacy, trauma-related scenes). Respect other players' boundaries and preferences.

4. Metagaming, Powergaming, and Godmoding
Understanding these terms is essential to creating a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone:

• Metagaming: Using out-of-character knowledge to affect in-character actions. For example, if you know a character’s secret out-of-character, do not have your character act on it unless they learn it through roleplay. This keeps interactions authentic and fair.

• Powergaming: Forcing actions upon another character without giving them the chance to respond. This includes making your character excessively powerful or invincible. An example would be saying, "My character punches yours, making them fall unconscious." Instead, allow the other player to decide their character’s reaction.

• Godmoding: Acting as if your character is all-powerful or unkillable, making them immune to consequences. For instance, a godmodding character might escape every danger without explanation or control other characters’ actions to ensure their success. Avoid unrealistic character actions to keep roleplay grounded and enjoyable for all.

5. No OOC Drama in IC Chat

• Do not bring out-of-character conflicts into in-character interactions, and vice versa. Keep community chat spaces free of drama by addressing conflicts privately or with a moderator's help.

6. Character Limitations and Development

• You may play up to 2 characters in Whiskey Rock, but each must be actively developed and used regularly. Characters should evolve over time and not be static or invincible.  Please be transparent when using alts

7. Realism in Consequences

• Actions have consequences. If your character commits a crime or engages in dangerous situations, expect in-character repercussions. It keeps the world of Whiskey Rock immersive and believable.

8. Respect Posting Order and Turn-Based RP

• If you're in a group RP scene, respect the posting order to ensure everyone has a chance to participate. Avoid interrupting unless it’s a fast-paced scene or players agree to a different order.

9. Moderation and Reporting Issues

• If issues arise, reach out to moderators for assistance. Constructive feedback and open communication are encouraged.

10. Enjoy the Storytelling

• Remember that roleplay is about collaboration and shared storytelling. Prioritize creating engaging, dynamic experiences with others and enjoy the world of Whiskey Rock.
